Still

Postby jayther on Thu, 11/01/07 3:34 pm

::MOVED::

Still under the wrong section, so I moved you to animation help.

Anyway, that version of Windows Movie Maker (WMM) lets you set music. Have you imported the music? If so, do you have WMM set as timeline or storyboard mode? Storyboard mode is when there are a bunch of rectangles with small rectangles between them at the bottom of the program. Timeline is when it actually displays the tracks that has Sound/music, Title Overlay, and the like.

To set it to Timeline mode, there should be two buttons at the edit area. It will say Timeline or Storyboard when you hover the mouse for a bit on either of those two buttons.

If this doesn't help, specifically say what the problem is, like why it won't let you set the music.

are you sure

Postby jayther on Thu, 11/01/07 11:22 pm

Are you sure? because I have the exact same version as you (which is the latest for XP). Did you try importing it as an image? Because it is an animated image (Import Pictures).

And what do you mean in real? What is shown in the animated image is how you did. There are differences between what you want to happen and what you did to make it happen. So improve on trying to make the animation smoother (higher frame rate), better physics, and less stiff (stiffness is when parts just stay in place). Meaning, make it look more natural.

Read the Pivot to video instructions and my reply carefully and completely: You need to click Import Pictures, not Import Video. GIF is an image, not a video (image = picture).

You can improve be not making it stiff (smooth, natural movements) and easing (appearance of acceleration and deceleration). Also work on physics and moving more than four things per frame. If you go to any other Pivot forum, they'll tell you the same thing.

To show that he's fast and the words is supposed to stay longer, do so. Don't just say it has to be that; SHOW it. -]

I am still at a loss by what you're trying to say. Do you mean that importing the picture still doesn't work? If you mean that, then tell me the exact things you do to try to import it.

And if you're trying to add that animation into WMM (the correct way) in a not so high end computer, it will take a long time to import it completely. Maybe just wait a while.

uh yeah, that is too much. Make your animations shorter. Or, if you want to make a very long one, cut it into different parts (like make a bunch of short ones and put it together in WMM)

Well, that's actually pretty long. It will take a long while to import, especially if you have a standard/normal computer. Maybe you should split the animations into different parts.
